“Pentesting with BackTrack”

Pentesting with BackTrack is a live training course designed for network administrators and security professionals who need to get acquainted with the world of Offensive Security. The intensive, 5 day course course introduces the latest hacking tools and techniques, and includes rich labs for exercising the material presented to the students in a live classroom setting.

The methods detailed in the training are used by the Offensive Security team during live penetration tests around the world for large international organizations and customers. Real world practice allows a unique and applicable penetration testing methodology as well as cutting edge attack vectors used by leading industry experts. This course gives a solid understanding of the penetration testing process, and is equally important for those wanting to either defend or attack their network.

How it works

Join the Offensive Security trainers on a 5-day thrill ride designed to take your security skills to a new level. The live training takes you through the steps of an actual pentest, allowing you to complete each stage in a safe lab enviroment. Your completion of the class entitles you to 30-days in our online labs to practice your newly developed skills. This will prepare you to take the amazing, real-life certification – Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP). Enrollment in this class includes an invitation to a “special hacking challenge” event just for the students (day and time to be announced).

This course includes complex hands-on labs throughout the training. Classes are conducted at a state of the art training facility providing the student with everything they need to master the materials. All students will be provided with preconfigured VMware machines for the duration of the course for a personal and in-depth learning experience. We will break a host of Linux and Windows machines – all using a customized version of Back|Track specially designed for this course.

OSCP Certification

The Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) is a unique and industry leading IT Security Certification that tests real world skills in the penetration testing field. No multiple choice questions, no theoretical fluff – The student will be expected to dive into an unknown network, craft custom tailored exploits, find security flaws, and exploit weaknesses within the architecture in order to pass the certification process. Students who successfully complete the Offensive Security “Pentesting with BackTrack” certification challenge recieve the OSCP certification. Pentesting with BackTrack simulates a full penetration test from start to finish by injecting the student into a rich, diverse and vulnerable network environment.

Perks and Bonuses

“Pentesting with BackTrack” qualifies you for 40 ISC2 CPE Credits. This applies to students who submit their exercise documentation at the end of the course, or pass the certification challenge.

In addition, be sure to adjust your schedules to attend the after hours Capture The Flag Session where students are put into teams and allowed to break into “enemy” networks practicing their skills they just learned.
