"Pentesting with BackTrack" (previously known as Offensive Security 101) is an online course designed for network administrators and security professionals who need to get acquainted with the world of offensive security. This penetration testing course introduces the latest hacking tools and techniques, and includes remote live labs for exercising the material presented to the students.
This course gives a solid understanding of the penetration testing process, and is equally important for those wanting to either defend or attack their network. The course can be taken from your home, as long as you have a modern computer with high speed internet.
How It Works
Your registration to a course entitles you to the downloadable "Offensive Security PWB v.2.0" course videos. You can watch these videos using a PC with speakers and a modern browser - at your own leisure. The videos are in SWF format. The Offensive Security Online labs are available for practicing the newly learned tools and techniques presented to the students throughout the course, and are accessible remotely by registered students. We offer 30 and 60 day packages. You can contact the trainers and other students via the Internet Relay Chat or through private messaging.
OSCP Certification
Students who successfully complete the Offensive Security "Pentesting with BackTrack" certification challenge recieve the OSCP certification.
Pre-Requisites
Pentesting with BackTrack is an entry-level course but still requires students to have certain knowledge prior to attending the course. The required knowledge a prospective student must have is a solid understanding of TCP/IP, networking, and reasonable Linux skills.
